Winter
The pleasures of winter abound at Kee-Nee-Moo-Sha resort. Enjoy the solitude as a hush settles over the woods and snow blankets the ground. Or head out on the great cross-country and snowmobile trails. And there’s still great fishing as well.
Cross Country Skiing


Cross-country ski on the resort roads, on our 110 wooded acres or across the lake to the island. Several local maintained trails are minutes away:
- Kee-Nee-Moo-Sha & Woman Lake provide excellent skiing right from your door. Ski along the lake shore, our 100 wooded acres, resort roads, or across the lake to the island.
- Goose Lake Ski Trail just 4 miles away! Novice to intermediate 15 km of trails across gently rolling hills around wetlands. Trail map
- Deep Portage Conservation Reserve Just 10 miles down the road are 18 km of looped groomed trails (4 km for skate-style), expert advice, warmth, snacks and Saturday learning programs. Map
- Hiram Ski Trail 8.5 miles northwest of Hackensack on County Rd 6. One of Cass County's most popular ski trails offers 8 km of Expert trails. Map

- Shingobee Recreation Area 6 miles south of Walker on MN Hwy . 10 km of groomed ski trails from novice to expert along the slopes of the Shingobee River Valley. 3 km groomed for skate-style skiing. This trail provides access to a network of ungroomed trails along the Shingobee River and to the North Country National Scenic Trail for the truly adventurous. Map
- Washburn Lake Solitude Area 2 miles north of Outing on MN Hwy 6. Diverse lake and woodland trails including 23 km of expert trails, 10 km of skate-style trails and spectacular scenery. Map
